Sentencing of Major Drug Kingpin

On November 15, 2012, Bernard Moultrie was sentenced to 35 years in prison for his leading role in a major drug-trafficking organization, as well as the murder of a competing drug trafficker. The organization, which sold large quantities of PCP, cocaine, and heroin through street-level distributors in Manhattan, operated mainly out of East Harlem near the Milbank-Frawley Houses. Moultrie pleaded guily to Operating as a Major Trafficker under the New York State “Drug Kingpin” statute. Thirty-five defendants in this case have pleaded guilty.
