Manhattan District Attorney Robert M. Morgenthau announced today that a former personal assistant pleaded guilty to stealing over $45,000 from Frederick Iseman, the founder and managing partner of Caxton-Iseman Capital LLC, a private equity investment firm located at 500 Park Avenue. FATIMA MONAHAN, 36, worked as a personal and professional assistant for Mr. Iseman from August 11, 2005 until November 11, 2006, when she was fired. As Mr. Iseman’s professional assistant, MONAHAN’s responsibilities included scheduling appointments, booking flights, making hotel reservations, opening and sorting mail, and other administrative tasks. As Mr. Iseman’s personal assistant, MONAHAN’s responsibilities included a wide variety of duties, such as coordinating household maintenance, personal and family appointments, running errands, and preparing checks for the payment of personal bills.
