STATEMENT ON VERDICT IN EDDY ESPINAL TRIAL

Eddy Espinal was found guilty today of Murder in the Second Degree, Attempted Murder in the Second Degree (four counts), Assault in the First Degree (two counts), and Assault in the Second Degree. Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus R. Vance, Jr., issued the following statement:

This was an intentional, brutal attack, fueled by vengeance in Washington Heights. Today a killer was met with justice. I thank the jury members for their service to New York County, and Assistant District Attorneys Thomas Schiels and Erin Choi for their work on this case.”
