Accounting Internship
For sophomore, junior, senior or graduate level Accounting Major college students.
The Forensic Accounting & Financial Investigations Bureau (FAFI) offers an opportunity for college students to intern in a dynamic Bureau that offers diverse exposure to a multitude of financial crimes. In this position the Intern is responsible for providing assistance in interpreting financial business records for the assigned Investigator.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Accounting Major with a minimum of twelve accounting credits.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Organize files;
- Review case material to ensure receipt of documents for the purpose of analyzing, summarizing and interpreting complex financial business records;
- Schedule and analyze flow of monies;
- Use Comprehensive Financial Investigations Solutions (CFIS) software.
- Examine various bank records, credit card and/or brokerage statements using Excel;
- Prepare graphs, charts, and other visual aids;
- Data entry;
- Perform tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Sophomore, junior, senior or graduate level;
- Strong analytical, communication and organizational skills;
- Proficiency in Excel;
COMMITMENT:
- Two five hour days per week.
COMPENSATION:
- $15.75 per hour stipend. (No school credit provided.)
