Vance announces $78M in funding for new anti-crime programs

Approximately $78 million in new funding is being made available by the office of Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance, Jr. for programs in higher crime neighborhoods in the borough. It’s an attempt to focus on root causes and community-based approaches to disrupt criminal patterns and cycles, sometimes before they even start.
